Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on Monday morning, during a meeting with Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, and his accompanying delegation, called the relations between Iran and Oman long-standing, deep-rooted, and good, and said: "We believe that the expansion of relations between the two countries benefits both sides in all fields."

​​​​​​​Oman's ambassador to Tehran, Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mu'aini, on Monday met with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and delivered a written message to Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran regarding the expansion of Muscat-Tehran bilateral relations.

 Speaking at the joint news conference with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Omani FM Sayyid Badr Albusaidi said: "We are trying to ensure the security of navigation and also the security of economic and commercial commute which will benefit our nations and will be useful for the nations of the region."

 During the phone call on Sunday evening, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian underlined Iran's seriousness since entering the negotiations to lift sanctions and appreciated Oman's efforts in this regard.

In a telephone call, Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Omani counterpart Badr al-Busaeedi exchanged views on the ways to extend bilateral ties and the Vienna Talks developments for lifting West's sanctions on Iran, among the international and regional issues. 

Raisi, during his travel plans to Oman, in an interview with the national television network of this country, in response to the question "what is your assessment of the effects of this trip and meeting with the Sultan of Oman on relations between the two countries", noted: "I am glad that I was able to travel to Oman and meet with the esteemed Sultan ...

 Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Rostam Ghasemi, is heading to Oman today at the head of a delegation in order to meet and negotiate on transport ties with his Omani counterparts. 

The top Omani diplomat congratulated the Iranian government and people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and welcomed the truce in Yemen.

Director-General of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security for international affairs Hamed Forouzan also announced the readiness of the ministry to transfer its experiences to Oman.

During a meeting with Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, foreign minister of Oman, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi hailed the Sultan of Oman for his official invitation to visit the country and said: "Undoubtedly, these interactions can be effective in strengthening relations between the two countries and resolving regional and international issues."
