The inadequate humanitarian aid delivery in Gaza and the collapse of the health system are exacerbating the people’s hunger level, IFRC spokesperson, Tommaso Della Longa, told Anadolu, referring to the Israeli army siege of the enclave amid continuous bombardments.
Two months after Israel began its killing campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip, Mirjana Spoljaric, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, states that the international community has morally failed in response to the humanitarian crisis that Gaza is facing due to the genocidal attacks by Israel.
"Critical infrastructure that people depend on to live – including electricity and water networks – must not be targeted. Irrespective of any military siege, the authorities must ensure that civilians have access to basic necessities, including safe water, food and medical care," President Mirjana Spoljaric said in a statement.
The International Committee of Red Cross in Palestine has called on Tel Aviv regime to release the body of senior member of Islamic Jihad who passed away in Israeli jails after 86 days of hunger strike.
