Saleh Diab, an activist from Sheikh Jarrah, said: "A number of Israeli settlers spread in the area during the weekly protest and attacked the protesters as soon as they had arrived near a farm of the Salem family."
WAFA correspondent in Al-Quds city said Ben Gvir and a group of hardline supporters set up a tent next to one set up by the residents and their supporters and hoisted an Israeli flag on the tent in order to provoke the residents who in turn hoisted a Palestinian flag.
Israeli police on horseback scattered protesters in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah where demonstrators poured in to support Palestinians facing eviction by Jewish settlers.
