The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate has strongly condemned the storming and appropriation of “al-Hamra” land by Jewish settlers in Silwan town, in Occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli settlers confiscated land belonging to the Greek Orthodox church in occupied East Jerusalem on Tuesday arresting Palestinians who protested the assault on the church’s property.

Settlers, under the protection of Israeli police, attacked Palestinian residents’ homes in Wadi al-Rababeh neighborhood in Silwan, leading to clashes. They further vandalized a vehicle belonging to one of the residents, WAFA reported.
