Iraqi protesters have taken to the streets near the US embassy in the capital Baghdad to denounce Washington’s interference in the domestic affairs of the Arab country and also plans targeting the resistance figures.
During his meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf, Saied expressed his displeasure with recent statements by several U.S. officials about the current situation in Tunisia and reaffirmed Tunisia's firm position on sovereignty and the independence of its national decision-making, the statement said.
