Shia mourners converge in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala to attend Arbaeen, 40th day after martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Millions of pilgrims from across the globe have converged at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) to attend the Arba’een procession which marks the 40th day after martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his companions in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
