Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagehr Ghalibaf referred to this meeting by publishing a message on his page on X social platform, saying: "In the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while pursuing the financial agreement between the two countries and the corridor project, I emphasized the necessity of developing economic relations."

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Lavrov expressed with Kani condolences over the demise of the President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash.
