Thousands of Lebanese people have held a vigil to pay tribute to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah at the site where the Secretary General of Hezbollah resistance was assassinated in southern Beirut on September 27.
Mourners attend the vigil held after Ashura marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
People across Iran held night vigil in mosques, shrines and praying halls to mark the 23rd of Ramadan which is known as Qadr Night or the Night of Decree. Communal prayer, reciting Qur’an and doing charity work are especially recommended during the nights from 19-23 of the fasting month of Ramadan.
The holy shrine of Abd al-Azim al-Hasani, also known as Shah Abdul Azim in southern Tehran held vigil on Qadr Night (Night of Decree) during the fasting month of Ramadan. Thousands attended the ceremony held inside the shrine, mosque and courtyards of the shrine.
People have held vigil to commemorate “Sham-e-Ghariban” which marks martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and his household in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
