“Religious minorities are blessings for Iran.” Muslim cleric

Advisor of Iran’s president called religious minorities as a blessing for Islamic Republic of Iran demanding for utmost use of their capabilities for promotion and ascendance of the country.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Younesi, Iranian President’s special advisor in ethnics and minorities’ affairs, met with a group of Zoroastrians in the city of Yazd calling the community as a blessing and a big opportunity for Iran without who there would have been no connection with history of Iran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” All people in the Islamic Republic of Iran, should respect each other contrary to differences among them and feel proud of their past as a responsibility.”
 
Muslim cleric rejected any disrespect towards Zoroastrian community and noted,” The inner truth in both Islam and Zoroastrianism is an invitation to the right and such commonalities should be used for ascendance of Iran.”
 
“Religions have been revealed to confront irreligiousness and not with another religion and the objective behind all religions is monotheism and guiding people to the right path.” noted the cleric
 
He stressed common moral values among all religions and that the difference merely lies in the rites and added,” Iran is a great cultural country and culture is a factor for more relation and survival for us. We feel proud of this culture and feel secure amid the present insecurity and crisis in the region.”
 
Presidential advisor hailed the services provided by Zoroastrians in different parts of the country and stressed necessity of meeting their demands by authorities.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Younesi expressed gratitude for massive participation of the Zoroastrian community in the recent Parliamentary elections.
