‘Messiah, common belief of all Islamic denominations’, prayer leader
Prayer leader of Gonbad-e Kavus city counted the appearance of Imam Mahdi (AS) the messiah as a common belief shared between Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Akbar Nosrati, interim prayer leader of Gonbad-e Kavus in Iran’s Golestan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (AS) conducted on the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AS) referred to Mahdavi ideology in view of the Sunni community calling that a shared belief between Shia and Sunni Muslims.
He said,” Mahdavism is a certain eternal heritage of Islam indiscriminately belonged to all denominations.”
The cleric added,” A descendent of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) will rise to prevail the world with justice as according to a renown Sunni cleric the messiah will appear to fulfill his mission even if there is only one day to the Last Day.”
Iranian Shia cleric reiterated importance of Mahdavism in different Islamic denominations and stressed there is no disagreement between Shia and Sunni on the topic.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Nosrati made the comments on the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AS), 12th Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who will appear to prevail justice in the world.
