"Marking Quds Day, mission upon world freedom-seekers", cleric
Top Iranian Sunni cleric praised naming the last Friday in the fasting month of Ramadan as International Quds Day stressing that the move plays effective role in boosting solidarity among Muslims.

Sheikh Ibrahim Mohammadi, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Iran's southern city of Asaluyeh in Bushehr Province stressing Quds Day a landmark in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said," It is evident to all that the occupying Israeli regime is a manifest of all evils and oppressions."
Iranian Sunni cleric added," The illegal Israeli regime has established its states via oppression and occupation; therefore, to mark the Quds Day is a mission upon all freedom seekers."
Sheikh Mohammadi also related on naming of the International Quds Day and said," Due to his wisdom and thoughtfulness, late Imam Khomeini (RA) chose the last Friday in Ramadan as Quds Day in a bid to awaken the Islamic nations and remind the occupation of Palestinian lands by the Israeli regime."
