“Hajj increases affection among Muslims.”

Head of Iraq’s Shia Waqf office stressed necessity of making the best from Hajj pilgrimage to boost fraternity and affection among Shia, Sunni Muslims.

Salih al Haidari, Iraqi Shia Waqf Office top official, in his trip to perform Hajj hailed fraternity between Shia and Sunni Muslims saying that both denominations share the same religion and a common goal, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He expressed hope for an end to religious violence and that security and peace prevails world Muslim countries calling Hajj as a proper opportunity for institutionalizing the culture of unity and solidarity among Muslims.

Iraqi official referred to religious clashes in Iraq and noted,” No matter which tribe or Islamic denomination, both Shia and Sunni Muslim are victims of terrorism in Iraq.”

Hailing the solidarity among Iraqi people, Salih al Haidari stressed,” Despite all challenges and efforts to spread religious intrigues in Iraq, people live in full solidarity and coexistence.”
