Iraq bureau of Hajj in Mecca held conference on Islamic proximity attended by Hajj officials and pilgrims from different countries.

Hujjat-ol-Islam Ghazi Askar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj affairs, in this conference said Iranian jurisprudents do not agree with desecration of Sunni sanctities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He added,” He who approves monotheism, follows holy Qur’an and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), should not be invaded.”
In this conference some Iraqi clerics also lectured on necessity of unity between Shia and Sunni.
Lecturers in this conference stressed recommendations in holy Qur’an on importance of resepecting religious sanctities saying,” Shia and Sunni Muslims have to respect each other’s sanctities and avoid any disagreement or dispersion.”
Lecturers in this conference also highlighted Shia Sunni commonalities and said both Islamic denominations are loyal to Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and they should not follow intrigues of the enemies and confront each other.”
