'Promoting Iran’s publishing industry is a necessity': Official

Secretary of the Grant Program placed stress on the prime importance of promoting Iran’s publishing industry in and outside of the country.

Secretary of the Grant Program, Ali Fereidouni placed stress on the prime importance of promoting Iran’s publishing industry in and outside of the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"In pursuit of the objectives set by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and to fulfill Supreme Leader's views on promotion of Iranian-Islamic culture worldwide, the Grant Program has been launched," Fereidouni underlined.

"Releasing written culture from other countries should be encouraged," he stressed noting, "The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has developed the Grant Program so as to promote Iranian-Islamic culture through books."

"Regarding the massive number of visitors, including writers, publishers, translators at the Frankfurt Book Fair, our participation in the global event would be of great opportunity to offer and introduce Grant’s Plan," Fereidouni added.
