Webinar on Imam Hussein (AS), role model of unity to be held in Iran

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has announced schedule for webinar on “Imam Hussein (AS), Role Model of Justice seeking, Sacrifice and Unity” on Wednesday in the wake of the mourning ceremonies of Muharram.

The webina by women’s deputy at Iran’s major Islamic unity center will host a number of prominent Shia and Sunni scholars and cultural figures from across the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Among the participants to this webinar are Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamed Montazeri, professor of Imam Khomeini Institute, Effat Shariati, Member of Parliament and deputy of Women affairs at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Akhoond Keramatifar, orator and prayer leader of Bandar Torkaman and also Molavi Younes Chahani, prayer leader of Rameshak rural district in Kerman province.
 
The webinar on “Imam Hussein (AS), Role Model of Justice seeking, Sacrifice and Unity” is held in the wake of the Muharram mourning ceremonies marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who was martyred, together with 72 of his companions and family members in fighting the tyrant ruler of his time Yazid ibn Muawiyah in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
