Huj. Shahriari expresses condolences over passing of Sheikh Qabalan
Secretary General of Iran’s top Islamic body, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message to condole with passing of senior Lebanese cleric, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in his message issued on Sunday hailed the head of Lebanon’s Supreme Islamic Shia Council as a wise effective man struggling in the path of God Almighty, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The virtuous cleric who was a true supporter of Islamic unity and proximity among Islamic denominations has spent his life for defending the right and fighting the enemies of God Almighty, particularly the Zionism and its pawns.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari praised the late Lebanese cleric for learning the high teachings of great Shia scholars and seminaries.
“His full support for the Palestinian intifada will always be remembered by those struggling in the path of righteousness” said the Iranian cleric in another part of his condolatory message.
Head of the Supreme Shia Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, passed away on Saturday at the age of 85.
