Director of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom issued a message on Wednesday to express condolence over demise of prominent Lebanese scholar Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan hailing the late cleric as a prominent Islamic unity and proximity figure.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Hashem Hosseini Bushehri, director of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom in his condolence message praised the late Lebanese cleric as a renowned figure in the Islamic proximity frontline.
He said," Late Sheikh Qabalan had a bright background in creation and boosting unity among Muslims and spent his life and efforts for analysis and transcendence of Islamic thoughts."
Senior Iranian scholar called the late Lebanese cleric as a capable supporter of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine and a kind and mighty father figure for defending the rights of Lebanese Shia and Islamic resistance movement.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hosseinin Bushehri expressed condolences with the bereaved family members, the Supreme Shia Council of Lebanon, Lebanese people and elites.
Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, director of the Supreme Shia Council of Lebanon passed away due to illness at 85. He was appointed as the director of the Supreme Shia Council in 2000.
