Hamburg to host eighth Qur’an competitions in Europe

Eighth round of European Qur’an competitions is underway at Islamic Center of Hamburg as participants compete in different fields of Qur’an, Adhan and interpretation.
Hamburg to host eighth Qur’an competitions in Europe
The Islamic Center of Hamburg is hosting the participants to the eighth round of European Qur’an competition in recitation, memorization and interpretation of Qur’an as well as Adhan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The first part of the competition, held virtually, will continue until April 22nd as participants are required to send a video of their work.
 
The final phase will be held on April 30th and the participants should attend the ceremony in person.
 
Competitors will compete in two groups, below and above 16 years of age and the final assessment of the videos will be based on the votes by judges and also votes by the people issued on Dar al-Qur’an website, Facebook account and telegram channels.
 
The competitions are meant to promote the culture and teachings of the holy book of Islam, further closeness with Qur’an and also boosting the relations in the Qur’anic community across Europe.
