Iran urges pursuit of Hamid Nouri's case

In a letter addressed to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary of the I.R. of Iran's High Council for Human Rights requested Sweden to follow up and respond to the situation of the Iranian citizen detained in this country.
Iran urges pursuit of Hamid Nouri

After his arrest, against all international laws, Nouri was not allowed to contact his family for four months, and the Swedish judicial system also did not allow Nouri, who is kept in solitary confinement, to meet his family in person for two years. This is while his family traveled to Sweden several times to meet him, but it was not possible to meet him.

Kazem Gharibabadi, Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary of the I.R. of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, in a letter addressed to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, demanded that the Swedish government be held accountable for the illegal arrest and trial and gross violation of the human rights of Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen imprisoned in this country and called for  his  immediate  release  and compensation for the spiritual and material losses.
Gharibabadi, in a letter to Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, regarding the poor situation of Iranian citizens in prison in Sweden wrote:
" I express my deep concern about the gross violations of human rights against Hamid Nouri in Sweden."
Gharibabadi added: "The Swedish prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for Nouri without conducting a comprehensive investigation, and the basis of this request was only the false statements and memories of several members of the terrorist group of MKO. Therefore, the principle of innocence and clearance and the right to freedom of movement for this Iranian citizen was violated by the Swedish authorities."

In this letter, it is stated that since the arrest of Nouri, this Iranian citizen has been in solitary confinement, and this indicates an arbitrary arrest without valid and documented reasons.
