Cleric stresses mission of Muslim parents in non-Muslim countries
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the role of parents, cultural and Islamic centers in non-Muslim countries in teaching younger Muslim generation.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in his remarks at the Islamic Center of Moscow on Eid al Adha highlighted the heavy burden of Muslim parents living in non-Muslim countries besides the Islamic and cultural centers for raising the younger generation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and hailed the adolescent Muslim students attending Islamic camps for further familiarization with the teachings of Qur’an, Ahlul Bayt (AS) and Islam.
He said,” To raise the younger generation is the major responsibility of Muslim families living in non-Muslim countries” and added,” This is a mission to be fulfilled firstly by parents and then by cultural and Islamic centers.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks at the ceremony held to celebrate Eid al-Adha at Islamic Center of Moscow also attended by teenage students and their families.
Eid al-Adha is one of the greatest Islamic occasions marked by world Muslims. Also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, the occasion marks the historical moment of obedience by Prophet Abraham (PBUH) who sacrificed his son Ismail at the order of the Almighty God before a ram was sent to be sacrificed instead of the son.
