Benkirane Commends Gaza Palestinians for Their 'Unprecedented Steadfastness' Against Israeli Actions

Secretary-General of the Moroccan opposition Justice and Development Party Abdelilah Benkirane remarked on Sunday that the steadfastness of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip against the Israeli genocide is “unprecedented in history”.

Benkirane shared: “For the first time in history, a nation has been given the choice between displacement and eviction and terrible suffering and chose to remain in their land despite the various forms of (Israeli) killing for 15 months.”
The former Moroccan prime minister described the steadfastness of the Palestinians in Gaza as “amazing” and “unprecedented in history”, pointing out: “Among the reasons for their steadfastness is their Islamic faith.”
Regarding the Israeli genocide in Gaza, Benkirane continued: “Girls, boys and elderly people were killed, in addition to major injuries to Palestinians, as they are unable to find hospitals after they were destroyed (by the Israeli army). Some remain without medical supplies, and yet they are still steadfast and continue to defend.”
“The Palestinians are also subjected to hunger, thirst, lack of medicine and the destruction of all structures (as a result of the Israeli genocide),” he added.
The Moroccan arena is witnessing a great state of solidarity with the Gaza Strip through the organisation of demonstrations and events in Aden and cities including Rabat, where participants demand an end to the Israeli genocide, lifting the siege, allowing aid to enter and ending the normalisation agreement with Israel.
The Israeli occupation army, backed by the US and Europe, has continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip for 460 consecutive days. The attacks have killed and wounded over 156,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. More than 11,000 are believed to be missing amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on 21 November against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.
