Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has offered condolences in a message following martyrdom of prominent Iranian Sunni cleric Molavi Abdulvahed Rigi.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in his message condemned the enemies of Islam and their mercenaries for killing a pro-unity and revolutionary Sunni cleric in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He hailed late Molavi Abdulvahed Rigi over pro-revolution stances and contributions during the imposed Iraq war.
 
Top Shia cleric lauded the renowned Sunni scholar for his popularity among the people and unrelenting efforts to promote Islamic unity despite threats by mercenaries hired by arrogant powers.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation particularly the people in Sistan and Baluchistan province and hoped that his path will be continued by followers of justice and righteousness.
 
Senior scholar stressed that such acts of terror will bring no disruption in resolution of the Islamic nation in their move towards achieving unified Muslim nation.
