Iran does not place any restriction on strengthening, expanding relations with neighbors
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said: "The development of all-round cooperation with neighboring countries is Iran's main priority in foreign relations and we do not believe in any restrictions in this regard."

Ali Shamkhani, in the meeting of Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al- Khulaifi, who has traveled to Tehran, pointed out the level and quality of relations between the two countries in various fields and stated: “It is necessary to remove the existing obstacles, the level of commercial and trade cooperation as well as joint activities in the field of implementing infrastructure projects should be promoted in accordance with the political interactions of the two countries.”
He added: “Within the framework of the neighborliness diplomacy strategy pursued by Ayatollah Raisi's government, the development of comprehensive cooperation with neighboring countries is Iran's main priority in foreign relations, and we do not believe in any restrictions in this regard.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council appreciated the effective efforts of the Emir and the government of Qatar and the cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in advancing regional and international cases. The constructive relations between Tehran and Doha can be used as a generalizable model in relations with other countries in the region.
At the beginning of this meeting, Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalife, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, also expressed his satisfaction with the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia for the normalization of relations, calling this step an important step in increasing stability and security in the region and developing comprehensive relations with Iran. It is among the priorities of Qatar's foreign policy.
