According to Hamza Qutina, Sheikh Sabri's lawyer, the Israeli intelligence services handed Sheikh Sabri a notice ordering him to go to the al-Mascobiyya interrogation center on Monday morning.
“The intelligence services frequently summon Sheikh Sabri for investigation and ban him from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque or traveling,” Qutina added.
Sheikh Sabri, for his part, affirmed that he will continue defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its just cause, adding that his determination will not be weakened by the Israeli threats.
Meanwhile, Palestinian activists launched a social media solidarity campaign in support of Sheikh Sabri in response to the incitement campaigns launched by the Israeli media against him.
