Lebanon's former member of the parliament has underlined the importance of resistance in the country.
"The resistance is a safety valve to protect the nation and its wealth of water, oil and gas and able to draw an equation of deterrence to prevent the Zionist enemy against attacks or harassments," former MP Abdul-Rahim Murad said.
He considered that "the equation of the army, people and the resistance is invincible in the face of Israel's aggressive projects and that any attack on our facilities will meet with a response to the facilities and the interests of the enemy."
On regional developments, Murad rejected vandalism in Syria and the aggressive statements against Syria's ruling party and said the claims made on smuggling weapons to Syria would inflame brotherly relations enjoyed bewteen the two Arab nations and bypassing the brotherly relations enshrined in the Constitution and the National Charter.
He also called for quitting such bad policies because the security of Lebanon is Syria's security.
