Enemies aim sparking tensions between Iran, foreign ethnical groups on borders
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called for boosting coexistence with the neighboring countries as a major strategy during Arba’een procession.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his remarks at 6th International Conference on Arba’een warned of tensions with the foreign groups on Iranian borders as a pursuit of the arrogant powers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Speaking as “Arba’een, National Solidarity, Islamic Convergence and Global Resistance”, top Iranian cleric also warned of plots aiming the Arba’een ceremonies and said,” We should pursue coexistence with our neighbors as the major strategy during Arba’een ceremonies and endeavor to settle the tensions sparked by enemies on Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey borders.”
The cleric hailed as a “symbol of national solidarity” the participation of pilgrims from different ethnical groups in Arba’een procession and called the convention of different ethnical groups a unique opportunity.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari warned of division among different Iranian ethnicities as an opportunity for the enemies and called for initiating ways to boost solidarity among various ethnical groups.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said,” Political disagreements would bring harm to Arba’een values meaning that some people might use the occasion in line with their political rivalries.”
He explained his proposals on the conceptual models of Islamic society and union of Islamic countries and hailed Arba’een ceremonies as a way for further convergence in Muslim world.
According to the top Iranian cleric the great march of Arba’een should change from a Shia procession to a unified rally by world oppressed people against the global arrogant powers.
Arba’een is the 40th day after martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam, who rose against the tyrant ruler of his time Yazid ibn Muawiyah. The grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), together with 72 of his loyal companions and family members were all martyred in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD. The occasion marks a landmark in the history of Shia Islam.
