Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims take Tariq-ul Ulima route, near the Euphrates River in Iraq, for the grand march of Arbaeen ahead of the major procession that marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Participants in this spiritual journey walk all the way from the holy city of Najaf to Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located.
