“Islamic unity should serve interests of Muslim nation”

Iranian President, Ebrahim Raeisi, said the Islamic unity does not translate to unity in denominations or geographical borders but a solidarity in line with safeguarding the interests of Muslim world.

Iranian President, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference highlighted importance of unity through the history of Islam and its importance is increasingly known by all, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” To attend the issue of unity is not a temporary or individual effort rather it is an ideological endeavor based on the axis of the right.”
 
Raeisi added,” Unity does not translate to solidarity in denominations or geographical borders and should be defined in line with interests of the world of Islam.”
 
He called the Islamic nation a body with a shared objective.
 
Iranian President offered congratulation on the auspicious birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference underway in the Iranian capital on Sunday.
 
The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference in underway with more than 230 elites attending the event in person. More than 260 elites and religious figures have also attended the online section of the annual conference.
