“Gaza genocide, crime committed against entire humanity”, cleric

The head of the Islamic Religious Community of Northern Macedonia condemned Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza Strip as a crime against the entire humanity the aspects of which minds cannot grasp.

Haji Shakir Efendi Fetahu, speaking at the World Muslim Scholars’ Constitution Summit held in the Turkish city of Istanbul said the present era is a time of efforts to tarnish the image of Islam in order to claim the holy religion is a hurdle on the way of modern world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The world is challenged by Islamophobia; therefore, it is not surprising to witness the massacre or genocide we witnessed in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and now in Gaza.”
 
The Macedonian cleric added,” The ongoing incidents in Gaza is threatening the elderly, children, women, homes and whatever signaling livelihood.”
 
The head of the Islamic Religious Community in Gaza called Islam as a religion of morality that respects equality, peace, coexistence and mutual respect.
 
Haji Shakir Efendi Fetahu made the comments at the World Muslim Scholars’ Constitution held by Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs with hundreds of prominent Muslim scholars from across the world in attendance.
