Malian official calls for unity among Islamic states

The Minister of Religious Affairs, Worship and Customs has stressed necessity of solidarity among Islamic states reiterating that differences among Islamic denominations are no hurdle to solidarity among Muslims.

Mohamadou Kone called on the religious scholars to highlight the common values among people and boost religious solidarity among institutions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The top official made the comments in an address at the World Muslim Scholars Constitution Summit organized by Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs in Istanbul.
 
Mohammadou Kone said,” Justice does not know any ethnical, religious or racial discrimination and an international community that claims being advocate of human rights is responsible to prevail justice when a minor group of Muslims are oppressed.”
 
He stressed that the present oppression against Muslims across the globe is a blatant instance of abuse and demanded if defending one’s religion or home country should not be punished by crackdown, displacement and massacre.
 
Mohamadou Kone expressed his views at World Muslim Scholars’ Constitution Summit organized by Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs.
 
The meeting was held on May 13-14 with hundreds of religious leaders and elites from across the world of Islam discussing the issues challenging Muslims.
