“Hajj, symbol of unity in Islamic nation”, cleric

A professor at Qom Seminary has hailed the Hajj pilgrimage as a prelude to build unity among world Muslims and solidify the Islamic nation.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Abolghassem Husseini, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), called Hajj as a symbol of unity in the Islamic nation and a certain pillar among the Islamic principles.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Husseini said,” In fact the rituals performed by Prophet Ibrahim made an example for the Islamic nation in order to highlight several aspects including obedience, patience and sacrifice.”
 
He expressed hope that Islamic nation lets the enemies of Islam down by moving in line with boosting solidarity among Muslims.
 
The senior Shia cleric made the remarks in an interview conducted concurrent with the Hajj rituals.
 
More than two million Muslims attended the annual pilgrimage in Mecca on Friday June 14-19.
