In a message addressing the Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Pezeshkian extended his gratitude for the valuable and kind message of the Lebanese cleric following his victory in Iran’s runoff presidential vote on July 5.
The Iranian president-elect further noted that Tehran has always supported the resistance and steadfastness of regional peoples against the illegitimate Zionist entity.
Pezeshkian underlined that his country will continue supporting the Axis of Resistance as it is rooted in the fundamental policies of Iran, the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini and the guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He also expressed confidence that the resistance movements in the region will not allow the Israeli regime to continue its warmongering and criminal policies against oppressed Palestinians and other nations in the region.
Pezeshkian was announced as Iran’s President-elect with more than 16 million votes against former nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili with more than 13, electoral authorities said.
