Iravani: Iran Ready to Strengthen Integration for Regional Peace

Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations says that Iran is ready to deal with urgent challenges and promote peace and security in the region.

Iravani added: "Considering Afghanistan's challenges, Iran believes that the enhanced collaboration between these institutions has a significant capacity to strengthen stability and development in Afghanistan".

"In a more complex global environment, maintaining international peace and security requires coordinated responses at the national, and international levels, and strengthening cooperation between the United Nations and regional institutions is more important than ever", he added.
Iravani reiterated that Iran considers the role of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, very valuable in reinforcing the peace and security in the region and believes that the importance of multilateralism in dealing with global threats and challenges is very prominent.
