“Palestine, unifying factor among Muslims, non-Muslims”
A senior Iranian scholar highlighted the importance of Palestine issue in the world of Islam and the factor that has brought Muslims closer as well as awakening the non-Muslims across the globe.

Akhound Abdul Jalil Farahmand, professor of Sunni seminaries in Iran’s northern province of Golestan, called the issue of Palestine and the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip as the reason that have brought world Muslims closer to each other, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He made the remarks in his speech at the second webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" organized by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
He said,” The word unity is important for all who are concerned about safety and prosperity for all” and added,” These days, Palestine and Qaza are the reasons that people of Islamic countries are boosting their solidarity in opposition with the Israeli regime.”
In this battle between Israeli regime and Muslims, Islam asks Muslims to come back to their origin, which is believing in Allah and the messenger against the enemies’ destruction campaign against Palestinians.”
The Iranian Sunni scholar said,” Palestine is a factor that brings not only Muslims but followers of different religions together and this will lead to a global unity” and added,” We need to prove our global support for the Palestinians.”
The remarks by the prominent Iranian Sunni scholar, Akhound Abdul Jalil Farahman came in an online meeting of the Shia and Sunni elites discussing the latest developments in the world of Islam.
More than 200 intellectuals and thinkers from across the globe are attending the webinar section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference.
Also the second section of the annual conference, which is held in person, will be held in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21 with hundreds of religious and political figures in attendance.
