Cleric calls on Muslims to act against oppressors

A former member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts called the issue of Palestine as number one issue in the world of Islam calling on the Muslims across the globe to act against the oppressors.

The remarks by prominent Iranian cleric, Ayatollah Javad Mujtahid Shabestari, came at the fifth webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue", reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted the divine recommendations of the Almighty God calling on Muslims not to remain silent in face of the oppressors.
 
The senior cleric expressed regret over the ongoing Israeli killing campaign in the besieged Gaza demanding would Muslims witnessed such crimes in Gaza if the entire world of Islam shouldered their responsibilities?
 
Ayatollah Mujtahid Shabestari condemned the countries that have actually supported the Israeli regime in its crimes against Palestinians by criminalizing any criticism of the Israeli regime.
 
The prominent Iranian cleric, Ayatollah Javad Mujtahid Shabestari, made the remarks in the online section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue".
 
The second part of the annual event has been scheduled to be held in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21.
 
The conference is annually held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
