An Indonesian religious researcher says the pro-Palestine protests across the globe are both in support of the people suffering Israeli atrocities in the besieged Gaza Strip and to uphold the human values.

Waode Zainab Zilullah Toresano, speaking at the sixth webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference, criticized some Arab countries for not supporting the Palestinians in face of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war despite the conferences where they denounced Israeli crimes in the occupied lands, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
She condemned the Israeli atrocities in the besieged Gaza as ‘disastrous’ calling for diplomatic solutions to the ongoing conflict.
According to the religious researcher, Indonesian government and nation have been staunch supporters of the Palestinians, a support both out of shared Islamic backgrounds and objectives of upholding human values.

She made the comments in as address to the Shia and Sunni elites from across the globe in the first section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" held on September 14-20.
The second section of the annual event is scheduled to be held on September 19-21 in Tehran with hundreds of the religious figures and officials in attendance.
