Iraqi analyst terms Palestine as factor to converge Muslims

Faraj Allah Al-Asadi has made the remarks ahead of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled to be held on September 14-21.

It is essential to take concrete steps to liberate the occupied Palestine, the instructor of the University of Kufa said.

Proximity of religions is considered as an invaluable initiative in Islam, he said, adding that it can help foil the plot of foes.

Bases of the religious proximity lie in the analysis of backwards faced by Islamic Ummah, he pointed out.

He called on the religious scholars to play a role in the project of the religious proximity to help unite the Islamic countries.

He went on to urge the scholars to help raise awareness about the similarities among religions.
