The theme for the conference underway is “Islamic Common Cooperation to Achieve Common Values Based on Palestine Issue”.

He said the holy al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holy place in Islam and a very important holy site for Muslims; hence, they should be asking the United Nations to end the ongoing war and Israeli occupation of the holy mosque.

Sayyed Muhammad Kauthar Ali Ja'fari also highlighted the joint diplomatic plans, economic developments and establishing organizations as well as using the media as other strategies to unite the Islamic countries for supporting Palestine in face of the occupying Israeli regime.

The prominent Indian thinker expressed his views in an address to several Shia and Sunni scholars from across the globe on the first part of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference held on September 16-18.

The second part of the conference is held with hundreds of the religious figures and officials attending the event in person in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21.
