Iran Launches Legal, Diplomatic Actions over Israeli Attack Injuring Ambassador
Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, has condemned the recent Israeli terrorist attack targeting Lebanese civilians, which also resulted in the injury of Iran's ambassador. Gharibabadi announced that the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has promptly taken immediate political and legal actions in response.

The Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the following immediate measures:- Instructions were sent to Iran’s mission at the United Nations for close consultations with Lebanon’s representatives, exploring necessary actions through UN channels, and engaging with other countries to convene a UN Security Council meeting.
- An official protest letter from the Islamic Republic of Iran was submitted to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council by Iran’s mission.
- Diplomatic notes were dispatched to all political missions and international organizations in Tehran yesterday, outlining Iran's stance and calling for condemnation of the terrorist attack.
Gharibabadi added that the attack on Iran’s ambassador would be formally reported to the UN General Assembly’s legal committee. Additionally, legal actions against the terrorist act, in consultation with Lebanon, are being pursued through both international and national mechanisms.
