“Hostile plots to weaken Islamic ummah are doomed to fail”, cleric
A Muslim scholar from Lebanon hailed the late founder of the Islamic revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) for the uprising that foiled many plots.

Basmeh Zainuddin, speaking at the seventh webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference, said the hostile plots to weaken the Islamic nation are all doomed to be foiled, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” We live in an era when several tyrant rulers and oppressors are in control of the affairs, either in the real world or through social networks.
He said,” While the enemies hope that their plots will weaken the Islamic nation, our ummah is still alive.”
The comments by Iranian Sunni cleric came in an address to the Shia and Sunni scholars from across the globe in the first section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference on September 16-18.
The second section of the conference is scheduled to be held in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21, with hundreds of prominent Muslim leaders and political figures in attendance.
This year the theme of the annual event is “Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with an Emphasis on the Palestinian Issue"
