Foes could sow the seeds of discord when there is a rift among Muslims, said Osmani at third webinar of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled to be held on September 14-21.
Resorting invalid sources and being unaware of the true sources are root causes of indifference among Islamic countries.
He attached prime importance to the peaceful coexistence in the Islamic world, noting that common principles must be followed.
Respect for differences can help manage the tensions, he said, calling for mutual respect among religions.
Tolerance is of prime importance in the Islamic teachings, he said, stressing the need to promote it.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that the media should not be used as a platform to disseminate misinformation.
