After the prayer, attendees took part in a march that started in front of the mosque to protest the crimes committed by Israel, backed by the United States, against the Palestinian people.
In a speech during the event, Marwan Aburas, head of the Palestine branch of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, emphasised that Sinwar had always wished to attain martyrdom on the battlefield, saying, “This is what has happened.”
He pointed out that “the Zionists, who were raised at the table of [Nazi leader Adolf Hitler] and have absorbed such cruelty, are shedding blood and killing people by starvation, particularly in Gaza.”
He added: “The ambitions of this criminal, Nazi enemy will not stop at Gaza if they succeed, nor will they end at the borders of Palestine. Their expansionist aims are clear.”
