A Palestinian young man has been killed in an attack by a group of Israeli settlers in the northern Jordan valley.

A Palestinian activist who witnessed the attack said the Palestinian youth, Ashraf Hussein Basharat, was hit in his head with a stone and killed while he and his family were protecting their home and livestock from an attack by a group of Israeli settlers.

Colonists raided the homes of the brothers Yousef and Ashraf Basharat and tried to steal their livestock.

The occupation forces raided the homes of Yousef Hussein Basharat in Makhul and detained him for several hours before releasing him earlier.

A day earlier a Palestinian teenager was shot and injured during an Israeli military incursion into the Balata refugee camp east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
 
During the raid, a 16-year-old boy was struck in the head with bullet shrapnel during an Israeli raid on the Balata camp in the occupied Nablus.

At least 812 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,450 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.
