Iran Calls for Int'l Community's Immediate Action to Halt Gaza's Genocide

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmael Baghaie described the ongoing inaction of international organizations and the United Nations Security Council in the face of the continuous genocide of Palestinians, due to the comprehensive support of the United States for the Zionist regime, as shameful.

Baghaie on Monday strongly condemned the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime on the residences and tents of Palestinian refugees in Gaza, including in the al-Nuseirat camp, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent people, including innocent children.
 
The Iranian top official reminded that the International Criminal Court has issued orders for the criminal prosecution and arrest of senior Israeli officials on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity and stressed the responsibility of the member states of the court to execute arrest warrants and the duty of all states under international law to ensure compliance with international humanitarian law and the prohibition of genocide.
He stated that the Zionist regime, in addition to committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, has undoubtedly committed two other crimes under the jurisdiction of the court, namely genocide and aggression.
Baghaie also pointed out the indifference of the Zionist regime to the rulings issued by the International Court of Justice regarding the cessation of genocide and refraining from actions contrary to the "Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide" and underlined the necessity for the international community to take necessary measures to impose costs on the continuous violations of the occupying regime and to compel it to comply with the rulings of the judicial body of the United Nations. 300
