Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari submitted the plaque which is an excerpt called “If Christ was amongst us” including the quotes by Ayatollah Khamenei on Jesus Christ (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Part of the excerpt reads,” If Jesus Christ was among us, he would not have missed a moment to fight the oppressive leaders and global arrogance and he would have not tolerated starvation and displacement of billions of people who are exploited by world powers and are pushed towards war, corruption and aggression.”
Still another part of the excerpt read,” To follow Jesus Christ (PBUH) necessitates that people support the right and disavow the powers who oppose the right and we hope that Muslims and Christians across the globe practice this great lesson taught by Jesus Christ in their life.”
“Undoubtedly, the value Muslims maintain for Jesus Christ (PBUH) is not less than what the pious Christians do. The great holy prophet has spent all his life struggling to fight oppression, corruption and those who exploit nations through power and wealth”, read another part of the message.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also congratulated the pontiff on the advent of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and the advent of the New Year 2025.
The head of the Catholic church hailed the excerpt by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for including key points with enduring impacts.
