Israeli drone strike on school sheltering displaced Palestinians wounds at least 40

At least 40 Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a school sheltering displaced civilians in the central Gaza Strip on Monday, said medics. Witnesses noted that Israeli drones dropped grenades on a school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. According to Anadolu, Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that 40 people were brought in after the attack.

The local authorities said that the Israeli occupation army has bombed 216 centres sheltering displaced Palestinians across Gaza since October 2023, killing and wounded thousands.
Israel’s ongoing war on the enclave has forced nearly two million of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents to flee in dire conditions and live in tents or shelters amid severe shortages of food, water and medical supplies.
The Israeli genocide has killed almost 46,000 people, mostly women and children, since a Hamas cross-border incursion on 7 October, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
