Pro-Palestine protesters demand end to genocide in Gaza outside Israeli embassy in London

The demonstration, organized by the Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) alongside several pro-Palestine organizations, sent a strong message of defiance against Israeli aggression and the UK government’s complicity.

Protesters chanted against the Israeli government’s war crimes and condemned the British government’s continued military cooperation with Israel, including the supply of spare parts for warplanes and surveillance operations in support of Israeli forces. Palestinian flags and banners calling for an immediate ceasefire and the release of Palestinian prisoners, including Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, were prominently displayed.

Adnan Hmidan, the acting chairman of the PFB commented on the protest, stating, “this mobilization is not just a protest; it is a collective outcry against the brutal oppression of the Palestinian people. We stand here today as a voice for the voiceless, as a reminder to our leaders that their complicity in war crimes will not go unchallenged. Every missile that falls on Gaza, every child buried under the rubble, and every family torn apart by this merciless assault is a stain on the conscience of those who remain silent. We demand an immediate end to the UK’s support for Israel’s war machine. We will not be silenced, and we will not stop until justice prevails, Palestine is free, and Gaza is safe.”

The demonstration featured speeches from high-profile figures, including actor Khalid Abdalla, musician Paloma Faith, and actress Juliet Stevenson, who expressed their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and urged the UK government to take decisive action against Israeli violations.

The protest was part of a growing wave of pro-Palestine demonstrations across the UK, reflecting public outrage over the British government’s stance and increasing calls for sanctions against Israel.

As the event concluded, organizers vowed to sustain the momentum and urged the public to continue attending demonstrations and campaigning for Palestinian rights until justice is served.
