To reveal the fate of Imam Sadr

Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour headed to Libya this morning via Cairo to follow up the disappearance of Imam Mousa Sader and two of his companions.

Mansour, who is accompanied by a high level Lebanese delegation, is expected to hold talks with senior Libyan officials in an attempt to determine the whereabouts of the missing Imam.

"We will discuss with Libyan officials all the information they have on Sader and his colleagues as well as turning a new chapter in the Lebanese-Libyan relations," the minister told reporters at the airport before travelling to Tripoli.

Mansour refused to speculate about the fate of Sader and his two companions but said he will try to uncover the truth behind this disappearance.

He also declined to say if the Lebanese delegation will meet some of the former Libyan officials who are detained by the government in order to find out about the fate of Sader.

Mansour stressed that both Lebanon and Libya intend to open a new chapter and upgrade the diplomatic ties to ambassadorial levels.
