Syrian President Bashar Assad voiced confidence that the Syrian people are capable of surpassing current circumstances witnessed in their country and the building of a cherished, sturdy Syria.

President Assad was speaking before a delegation of "Arab Popular Initiative against Foreign Intervention and in Support of Dialogue and Reform" who visited him on Thursday. 

"The support by Arab peoples and patriotic powers committed to sense of Arabism bolsters Syria's immunity and its belief in the future", Assad told the delegation. 

The delegation, for its part, expressed support to Syria in the face of the systematic campaign it is currently facing, which the delegation considered as part of a plot to disintegrate the region and lastly to conclude Arab-Israeli conflict to the interest of the Zionist enemy.
