The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned that families in Gaza have lost everything and conditions are deteriorating daily, placing vulnerable lives at risk.

The agency emphasized that "Conditions [in Gaza] deteriorate daily, putting vulnerable lives at risk. We need more humanitarian access in Gaza."
Medical sources confirmed this evening the presence of the poliovirus in the Gaza Strip, raising alarms of a potential health catastrophe. 
Following tests conducted on sewage samples in collaboration with UNICE, the virus responsible for polio was identified.
Authorities stress that the presence of this virus poses a significant health threat, endangering thousands of people , especially children. 
The risk of polio infection is heightened due to extensive infrastructure damage, lack of hygiene, and sanitation facilities in residential areas and makeshift shelters.
